Payment

We accept Visa , Mastercard, Discover, and American Express both through Paypal and over the phone.  We also accept postal money orders and cashiers checks.  Sorry, we do not take COD payments.

All animals must be paid for in advance.   We are now accepting reasonable payment plans, please inquire if interested. 

California residents must add 8.25% sales tax to their order.  However, see our half price shipping discount for all CA residents to help offset your state sales tax cost.

Shipping & Handling

We are a Delta Verified shipper, and prefer using airport to airport same day shipping on all reptile orders.  Live Mammal shipping is done exclusively through Delta Dash.  International orders are shipped exclusively through Delta Dash.  Please inquire about minimum order requirements & documentation fees on international orders & live mammal orders.  We offer shipping 7 days a week through Delta Dash.

We are a Certified reptile shipper through Fed Ex Express & use them exclusively for all overnight nationwide reptile shipping.  We ship Monday thru Thursday for overnight carrier service.

Live arrival  is guaranteed on all Delta Dash orders.  Live arrival via overnight carriers can only be guaranteed when temperatures en route are between 40-90 degrees Fahrenheit. We only ship when we can guarantee live arrival.  We reserve the right to refuse to ship when weather conditions compromise the health and safety of our animals.

The Creature Company is not responsible for carrier error or delay.  Claims due to carrier error or delay are to be handled directly with the carrier and are not the responsibility of The Creature Company.  For an additional charge, insurance on an order is available through the carrier, and it is the responsibility of the customer to request and arrange for insurance prior to shipment.  Insurance is not automatically included on any order placed through an overnight carrier service, and is not included in the quoted shipping costs.  Insurance up to $750 is included automatically on all Delta Dash orders.  Any additional insurance requirements are the responsibility of the customer to request prior to shipment,  and the is not included in the standard quoted shipping cost.

Reptile shipping price is a minimum of $100 via Delta Dash and $75 via overnight carriers.  Shipping can vary depending on how much your animals weigh, and if shipping increases significantly you will be notified prior to final purchase arrangements, so that the shipping cost can be adjusted.  Adding insurance to your order will affect the final shipping cost.  We offer a 50% discount to all CA residents overnight shipping cost via Fed Ex- which reduces your minimum cost to $35 within state, please inquire for full details.

Reptile shipping price includes as many heat packs or ice packs as required by the current weather conditions.  All shipping boxes are insulated and padded for the safety of the animals, and included in the shipping cost.  Each animal is bagged/contained individually within the shipping box to minimize stress to the animals.

Animals will not be shipped until the customer and The Creature Company have agreed on a shipping date.  On the evening of the ship date, The Creature Company will email all pertinent tracking information to the customer.

The customer must be home to sign for all deliveries on the first delivery attempt via overnight carrier service, or all guarantees are null and void.  The customer must pick up all Delta Dash shipments within 4 hours of arrival at their local airport or all guarantees are null and void.  The customer must open and inspect their Delta Dash shipment prior to signing for it, and report any damages immediately to Delta for any claims of damages to be valid.

The Creature Company does not knowingly make any sales to minors, proof of age may be required at our discretion.  If you are a minor interested in purchasing one of our animals, please have your parents or legal guaradians contact us to make final purchase arrangements, we enjoy sharing our animals with customers of all ages-with parental approval only.

Permits & Regulations

The Creature Company strictly follows all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the transportation, shipping, importing/exporting and possession of reptiles and amphibians.  Due to constantly changing regulations, it is the customers responsibility to be familiar with their local ordinances relating to the possession or restriction of an animal in their location.  We will not knowingly ship an animal in violation of any local, state or federal regulation.  Please educate yourself before contacting us to purchase an animal.  We will not ship to areas that prohibit a particular species.  If you are required by your local or state government to obtain a veterinary health certificate,  entry permit, or possession permit, proof of such will be required, prior to shipping.  Additional costs related to veterinary health certificates are paid for by the customer and based on actual cost.  By purchasing from The Creature Company, the buyer has entered into a contract in which the buyer assumes all liability (criminal and civil) for animals purchased or transported in violation with any local, state, or federal laws.  If it is found, that a buyer has mislead, misrepresented, or illegally obtained an animal in violation of any of these laws, they will be held civily liable for all costs including, but not limited to: those associated with the recovery of said animal, shipping fees, lawyers fees, local fines, state fines, and federal fines.  The Creature Company attempts to stay current on all local, state and federal laws pertaining to the interstate transport of animals, if the buyers local jurisdiction has recently changed an ordinance or the buyer needs clarification on restrictions in their jurisdiction, please call your local regulatory agency or relay that information to The Creature Company and we can assist in the research of, and compliance with, these laws.  All permits associated with international shipments are charged at actual cost to the buyer.  It is the buyers responsibility to obtain any importation licenses required in their country of origin for international shipments, proof of such will be required prior to shipment.

Vision

Our goal is to provide the healthiest, most genetically diverse bloodlines in the captive bred world.  We aim to keep our animals free from genetic defects.  We take the time to outbreed our stock with hand picked wildcaught stock whenever possible.  We practice ethical breeding and encourage others to do so as well.  Animals with deficiencies are not bred and we take the time to outbreed all of our morphs to prevent the weakness of multiple generations of line breeding. Due to the time involved in this process, we ask for your patience when waiting for the availability of new morphs.  We do not sell any animals as "hets for" or as "having a genetic trait" until we have outbred several generations to unrelated stock, in doing so we can guarantee without doubt the quality of our bloodlines.  We strive with every breeding project to maintain the integrity of the species while diligently focusing on the long term health of our stock.  We do not partake in the reproduction of hybridized species.  We honor locale specific animals as such, and do not crossbreed those animals outside of their sub-species.  We do not produce designer morphs by hybridization, only through selective breeding of a particular species (for example- you will not find Columbian (BCI)/Surinam (BCC) Redtail Boa crosses here, nor will you find Diamond/Jungle Carpet Python crosses, etc.)  We strive to maintain purity in all of our bloodlines and aim to provide the best quality, diversity, heartiness, and variety, while following these practices.

Guarantee

We have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee all of our animals.  We guarantee that they will arrive live, healthy, and properly sexed.  We make no implied or expressed guarantee on the temperament of our animals.  Reptiles can be unpredictable, especially in a new environment.  Please educate yourself and know your experience level.  We do not sell any animal as "tame" and most reptiles are sold as juveniles that have not been handled regularly.  We do not accept returns of animals based on temperament.  Notification of DOA’s must be made upon receipt.  Notification of dissatisfaction must be made within 24 hours after receipt of shipment via phone or email, and proof of DOA’s may be required.  Failure to notify The Creature Company of dissatisfaction within 24 hours of receipt of the animal waives the customers’ right to any type of refund, credit, or replacement animal.  All guarantees are null and void if the customer fails to report within the 24 hour time frame.

The Creature Company will not be responsible for additional shipping charges on replacement or returned animals.  Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
